LEFT: An LTE-Oriented Emulation-Instrumented Fuzzing Testbed

Mobile devices present a significant critical infrastructure challenge as many devices have little or no security protection, making the nation’s mobile communication infrastructure vulnerable. This study will develop new capabilities for testing and improving the resilience of LTE-based mobile communication systems. The end product will be a program that emulates and injects random software-induced faults into an LTE system to elicit unexpected behaviors for further diagnosis.
